Paul Shores Interview - 2026

I would like to introduce Mr. Paul Shores musician and song writer for over 20 years who's life experiences have taken him through the golden years of blues and rock and roll music.

Paul's favorite cover songs to date are those of Stevie Ray Vaughn (SRV), Creedance Clearwater Revival (CCR) and ZZ Top.

Paul and his band Blue Bayou produced a nice CD which is presently being remastered titled: ‘Bring Your Love’

The CD tout's 10 original songs written by the band. Paul started his Bayou Blues Band in Houston Texas in 1990. Paul is a Navy Veteran.

Paul as a seasoned musician who has also played with several other bands growing up over time which include: ‘Joey Longview and the Texas Brothers’ and the ‘SouthWind' Band’ out of Minden Louisiana. Earlier in life he played with ‘March Hare and the Crossroads’.

Covid hit in 2019 and with the forced isolation Paul lost his band members and has been unable to bring a band back together. Paul still gigs with other bands to this day and is actively writing songs and producing music.

I (Bruce Wynn – known as Maxx; CEO of Maxx Blues Record Label) got the opportunity to check out Paul's in home studio and sound stage which is extremely well equipped to say the least as he touts an entire band setup with the exception of a Hammond 3 organ which he complains about! Paul has an amazing collection of vintage guitars and amplifiers. Paul and I plan on playing a lot of music together there and I'm hoping he will saddle up with Maxx Blues Record Label soon as I am putting together a new band called: “Maxx Blues Chaos” and I'm hoping he will be the lead guitarist and vocalist with the band and our lead organizer, as he has the experience and talent we are looking for. We expect the band to play a 50/50 mix of cover music and original material.

I have posted some pictures and a short video of Paul and his home studio below.
